OK this is cool, but why Scotland?
From the day we met, we've connected over how similarly we move through the world. Rarely is this dynamic more apparent than when we travel, and our 2024 trip to Scotland captured this perfectly.
Day 1 looked like this: Redeye flight to Edinburgh, walking Edinburgh for 6 hours, driving to Glasgow and attending a holiday festival just outside the city, driving all the way down to Campbeltown (at the base of the western Kintyre Peninsula), checking into our cozy inn, and enjoying a local scotch nightcap by the fireplace.
The rest of the trip saw us fall in love with Scotland, and particularly the less-explored west coast and Isle Islay. (Insert cheesy joke about falling more in love with each other, too.)
Neither of us wanted a "big" or "traditional" wedding. But we did want to bring our families together and formalize our commitment to each other before we brought kids into the world.
And when we thought about introducing our families and closest friends to some of our favorite places in Scotland, it instantly felt right.
